MICHELE WEE
Michele Wee was appointed CEO, Standard Chartered Bank (Vietnam) Ltd on 01 February 2021. She acquired 29 years of banking experience, thriving on her strengths of strategic solutioning for business problems, managing teams and executing complex projects across business functions.
Michele’s career with Standard Chartered Bank started in 2011 when she joined Standard Chartered Bank Singapore as Managing Director, Global Head of eCommerce Sales. In her next expanded role, Michele was Head of Financial Markets – Singapore, Australia and Brunei, taking charge of these 3 markets’ Financial Markets business besides delivering the marketing governance and regulatory relationships.
Michele was appointed Chairman of Banking Working Group (BWG) in March 2022 until March 2024 and has received the recognition letter from State Bank of Vietnam for her contribution in this role.
Michele is a big advocate for Diversity and Inclusion. As a CEO, Michele describes herself as a “servant leader” and a strong supporter of Coaching. She sees the success in individuals, teams and in organizational delivery as encouragement to keep her going, and the best way to share passion and energy is by doing and leading by example. She has been given recognition as HERoes Women Executives yearly since 2021 in Top 5 each year, with most recent ranking at Top 3 in 2023. In Vietnam, Michele has been recognized as Top 50 Asia Pacific Women Leader with many local awards. In 2024, she received the medal "For the Great Contribution to Natural Resources and Environment" recognized by Ministry of Natural resources and Environment
PATRICIA MARQUES
Living and working in Vietnam for the past 14 years, Patricia transitioned from her role as General Manager of Starbucks Coffee Vietnam in December of last year.
She is now Head of Business Development for Maxim’s Group, Catering Division.
Patricia is known for her varied global experience and visionary work in the areas of international growth and cultural adaptation. It is her mission to ensure the successful and sustainable growth of the brands/companies she represents while maintaining deep respect for the local culture.
Before setting up Viet Idea Food & Beverages Co. Ltd (licensed holder of Starbucks Coffee in Vietnam), Patricia was responsible for orchestrating worldwide operational start-ups, future business planning as well as revenue strategy development for international companies such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Starbucks Coffee Company, Panera Bread and in Vietnam, Highlands Coffee Int.
With a passion for Operations Management and an impressive track record of strong leadership, Patricia is credited with launching more than 25 International stores in markets as diverse as the United States, Mexico City, Dubai, Riyadh, Zurich, Madrid, Lima, Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Irene has more than 20 years of international experience in HR development, having worked with Fortune 500 corporates and governments in Europe, China, Brazil, New Zealand, and Vietnam as an executive coach and consultant, Her mission is to ignite leadership and support organizations to nurture talent, through executive coaching and delivery of programs designed especially for female executives.
Since her arrival in Vietnam in 2012, Irene has become a sought-after expert in Vietnam for her work to promote women's leadership. she is the co-author of a best-selling book on Vietnamese women leaders, Ba Trieu's 21st Century Daughters, Stories of Remarkable Vietnamese Women. She also curates the unique live event series, the Women's Storytelling Salon in Hanoi and HCMC.
Since 2014, Irene has organized 32 Women's Storytelling Salons in Hanoi, HCMC as well as tailored SALONS for Flinders University's Women's Leadership Development Programmes.
